Information Protection and Compliance of a semiconductor company's PDR process by Microsoft 365's SharePoint Online

The Challenge

The customer was using a third-party solution for managing the PDR Risk review corporate process running in a SharePoint on premises environment. The customer was facing a few challenges was looking to the following:

• Migration to SharePoint online
• Ability and ease of use to manage the PDR program risk review meetings from a centralized calendar-based facility having access to individual calendar of all participants across various product groups
• Easily manage all stakeholder's participation along with complete control on each participant’s access to the associated meeting content based on the level of the participation
• Ability to securely store the content at a centralized location throughout its lifecycle having controlled visibility to different stakeholders at various stages of its usage

The Solution

The solution consisted of the following key features:

• Management of review meetings using a uniquely designed calendar control
• Automatic management of meeting participants based on meeting attributes like product group, design review phase, and others
• Ability to manage document level security by integrating with Microsoft Purview
• All content migrated from existing On-Prem to SharePoint online
• Portal to facilitate collaboration with SharePoint Online
