The company developed an approach to capture snap-shot of daily appointments for identify trends and to help stores in forecasting participants/customers and vaccine inventory .

Challenges

The company’s management would like to identify if their investment efforts in improving the company website and scheduling online form have resulted in monthly increase in number of B2C vaccines appointments. They needed insight on which geographical region and store location are profitable and which ones may need assistance.

Solution

  • Power Automate flow that runs nightly was developed to capture aggregate number of daily appointments submitted in an online form and captured in Dynamics 365 Field Service.
  • Custom table in Dynamics 365 Field Service was created to store aggregate data.
  • Power BI dashboard with filters was developed to compare number and percentage of available appointments versus booked appointments by date range (weekly, monthly), by location (state, business region), and by team responsible for managing each stores.
  • Visuals in Power BI reports provided insight to overall state of the business and allows management to drill down to more granular information in a single report.
