The Challenges
A global leader in electronic design and test solutions, maintains a robust Microsoft 365 infrastructure to support enterprise collaboration, data analytics, and cloud management.
It was to acquire a cybersecurity firm whose Microsoft 365 tenant was the source environment for this migration. The project aimed to integrate cybersecurity firm’s digital assets into the electronics company’s tenant to support operational continuity and centralized governance.
The company faced the following challenges:
- Complex Workload Migration: Included Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Viva Engage, Power Automate, PowerApps, MS Forms, and Whiteboards.
- Tool Limitations: Migration tools such as Quest ODM and ShareGate had constraints requiring custom strategies.
- User Identity Mapping: Required precise mapping of Riscure users to Keysight accounts, including handling external users and chat duplication.
